Description

A scene from a Rp between me and :iconmarylittlerose: and our Ocs Sterling and Lenore.

Sterling (c) me

Lenore (c) :iconmarylittlerose:

Summary: Sterling was sitting on the wall of the bridge which connected the city to the country side. He was down to his last smoke when Lenore happened to be taking a stroll that night as well. During their first meeting they weren't exactly on friendly terms so this encounter was as strange as can be. After a very sarcastic filled conversation and angry tones the two finally calmmed down enough to straighten things out and start over.

this took me for ever

5hrs straight ya'll. So comments are kindly needed.

EDIT: i fixes the lighting on sterling jacket.

To start off, The detail of this picture shows the thought that you have put into it. Especially in the light of the moon shining around Sterling's jacket and also in things such as Sterling's hair, the dangles from Lenore's jacket, the pinstripes of her skirt.
As for the clothes, we can see again that you know very well how to draw the human body and how to make the clothes "fit" that body. The only critique I have as far as that goes is that Sterling is dressed almost too plainly. We're used to seeing at least one thing that he wears be a bit edgy or bold. Seeing him in all plain black clothes might have been intentional but I think at least one thing he wears should have a pattern, even if it's subtle.
The shading on the characters is good except I wonder if it would be harsher at night with the only light coming from the moon or streetlights. The shading on Lenore's face especially makes me wonder if she is standing almost directly in front of a streetlight since the hair on the right (the viewer's right) doesn't cast that much of a shadow. But, looking down at the ground I wonder if the streetlight is behind the viewer. Then I would have to question why Sterling's face is illuminated almost by his lighter alone.
The last thing I have to critique is that in the background there are some random black and white strokes which don't look like anything.

All that aside. I think this is a well-done picture. I do think you had a definite goal of what you wanted to communicate unfortunately the subject matter is not as exciting as it could be. It's very everyday, which isn't bad, but it could be a more compelling moment perhaps.
While the concept and posing may not be completely original I feel like the personalities of the subjects are still there which makes this "couple" a unique couple.
I love your technique as always and I think you have a very strong sense of what your style of drawing is.
The impact of this picture is probably pretty strong for your watchers who know Sterling's background and history. I'm not familiar with Lenore but I would be interested in checking her out now that I've seen her here.

Anyway, that's all. I love your artwork and I look forward to more in the future.
