Bio: In her younger days Mellissa had dreams as big as any girl her age. She wanted to get married and settle down and work at Job of her dreams as a nurse. She had a guilty pleasure in romance novels and rock and roll. Music her parents only described to be the devils chant. He later met a young man who went by the name Blake. He was an aspiring musician whose dream was to make it big and see the world. She instantly fell for him, and like most bad boy, good girl relationships her parent were not pleased by her request to travel with him. They thought if foolish of her to drop her studies for medical school to go on a road trip with some boy. But when your young and in love, you never think of the consequences.
At first things were, though, looking for gigs, making enough money for food, but Mellissa didn't complain. In fact, the time spent with him was some of the best moment of her life. Even if they had to sleep in Van. Once Blaze's name started to get out their life was becoming more and more easier even though they were both still basically living in his van. A few months of living with Blaze Mellissa discovered she was pregnant. The two freaked out, of course, They had no house, hardly any money, and now a baby. Most men would have bailed but Blaze he stuck around and stepped his gave up. He became more aggressive in looking for work, doing odd jobs sometimes.
Mellissa decided to try her luck at a diner which at the time refused to hire expecting mothers. Mellissa pleaded and broke down in tears begging for the job till finally the manager said yes and gave her a chance. They were finally getting somewhere, Nights sleeping in the van was soon replaced with motels. A few months later Mellissa gave birth to their first son Jace. Despite all the struggle they were going through they were determined to do everything and anything for their son, and be good parent. Their first responsible decision was to get married. Their ceremony small. Only a priest, Their son which Mellissa held in her arm for the entire ceremony and a Co-worker who played the part as a witness.
The following years were rough, but they made ti work. Mellissa continued working at the dinner and Blaze placed his music career on hold to be a father and got a job working at a music store that repaired instruments. On days they both worked Mellissa would take her young baby to work, waiting on customers and heating bottles. Soon they made enough to get a small 2 bedroom home and move out of the dirty motel. Mellissa should such good skills she bumped her way up to assistant manager. At this time, Jace was already starting preschool and Mellissa was carrying their second child. Another boy they named Sterling.
Life was good, or so it seems. Blaze decided to dig up his buried dream of being a rockstar, and make a band with his coworkers.
He wanted to Travel, to go on the road, but Mellissa wasn't so sure about his offer this time. It was starting to be clear to her that Blaze still had the mentally of child, and would choose the road over his family if given a chance. This lead to many preventable arguments that soon marked the crumble in their relationship. Until one day Blake just left. It hurt her, to know how easy it was for him to let 6 years, and two children, a beautiful life go without remorse. She had to do more to take care of her sons. Giving up her dream to one day quit and be a nurse , to put food on the table, clothes on their backs, a roof over their heads. Her first love broke her heart, and that heartbreak made loving again difficult. She developed new insecurities, and placed her feels at the bottom of everything. The only thing that matter to her was her sons, and while raising them was difficult by herself she did her best.
Currently: Mellissa Is currently dating Johnny and still working at the dinner though recently has been thinking about going back to school and becoming a nurse.
